MEET OUR DOCTORS
Douglas L. Giles, DC
Dr. Giles is originally from Richmond Virginia but has made his home in the Athens area. He graduated from Madison County High School and attended Georgia College in Milledgeville and the University of Georgia in Athens. Originally, he was a Business major at the UGA Terry College of Business but a car wreck led him to alter his path to healthcare.
As a nontraditional student, Dr. Giles worked nights in local manufacturing facilities to pay for school. He and his wife, Elyse raised their three children while working and sacrificing for 10 long years. By 2002, he had earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. Since that time, he has owned and operated two successful practices. He has integrated his practices to offer family medicine, physical therapy and chiropractic care. Dr. Giles is a sought after medical practice consultant and enjoys developing practice management systems for the healthcare industry.
“Dr. G” as he is best known around the office has been a mentor and coach to dozens of young DCs around the State of Georgia. As Extension Faculty for Life University, his offices are utilized by the University for Senior level Doctors to complete outpatient clinical requirements.
He was honored in 2013 with the distinguished Chiropractor of the Year award by the Georgia Chiropractic Association after serving as the Association's President.
Dr. Giles is an avid private pilot, divemaster and struggling golfer. With all that he does in Athens and around the State of Georgia, his favorite activity is enjoying time with his family and friends.

Parker G. Barnett, DC
Dr. Parker Barnett has been in the Athens area since 2003, as a graduate of UGA and working as a biologist in the greater Athens area subsequently for 6 years. He and his wife Tammie and their 3 boys love the classic city and are excited to be serving in the community once again. Dr. Barnett has appreciated the benefits of chiropractic since his teenage years, however, when it became one of the most vital components of he and his wife overcoming significant health challenges, it created a pull towards the profession in wanting to help others in the way he and his family have been helped.
As a former athlete and a very active individual, Dr. Barnett knows the importance of chiropractic care in maintaining a balanced and active lifestyle. He has advanced training in the areas of extremity adjusting, sports chiropractic, and special populations including pediatric and pregnant patients.
Some of Dr. Barnett’s favorite activities are spending quality time with his family. He is an open water diver and an avid outdoorsman, especially in the fall and winter. Dr. Barnett is also an accomplished dog trainer, he has competed with them in dog sports for over 16 years and his dogs have also appeared in motion picture and TV productions.
