  Stewart Clinic Doctors

Doug Giles
I am Dr. Doug Giles, CEO and Clinical Director of Stewart Clinic of Athens. In 1997, I started treatment with Dr. Ray Stewart for injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision. After only a few treatments, I experienced amazing results through Chiropractic. I was enrolled in the Business School at UGA and just felt compelled to travel in a different direction. So, I changed my course of study and earned my B.S. in Biology and entered Life University's 4 year Doctoral program in Chiropractic. I graduated in 2002 and returned to Athens to practice. In 2003, I bought Stewart Clinic from Dr. Stewart. In addition, I also opened Southern Chiropractic in historic Washington, Georgia in 2005.

My goal is to provide the very best Chiropractic healthcare.... anywhere....period. We offer the very latest procedures and therapies are offered at Stewart Clinic and Southern Chiropractic. We utilize the latest technologies to get patients well FAST! That fact is....The Pain Stops Here.

My family and I feel very honored to be a part of each patient's healthy life. Elyse, my bride of 14 years is a fitness specialist and regional coordinator for the BCBS system. Our three children, Megan, Douglas and Madelyn have been receiving Chiropractic care most of their lives.

Joe Kauffman
Born in Orlando, Florida, Dr. Joe Kauffman has always had an attraction to healthcare. Joe began his career in the discipline of biology, studying at the University of Central Florida. After receiving his bachelors of biology degree in 1998 from UCF, something was still missing. An understanding of biology was not enough. Joe felt that there had to be more than working cells and tissue that went into creating true HEALTH.

With an uncle already a successful chiropractor in a thriving practice, Joe did not have to look far for a different way of helping people get and stay well. In 1999 he moved to Atlanta to pursue chiropractic at Life University. Excelling in his studies at Life, Joe graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2002 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic.
